Memories of my work life, invaluable skills for anyone to learn..
Martin from Stone: Refresher courses are reassuring, the Club has just purchased a defibrillator as well
Une formation indispensable.
Martin from Stone: It is about having the confidence to use these skills

I ought to learn how to do this
Martin from Stone: Could be useful, but its not for everyone
I have to have a refresher too.
Martin from Stone: We were pleased to, as your confidence to intervene drops after a time

I used to be able to do this; perhaps if the push came to the shove, I still could; it would be worth trying.. Some of the audience here look like it's too late for them smile
Martin from Stone: Refresher courses are useful
Did each member get a chance to practice this skill, Martin?
Martin from Stone: We had already done a first aiders course so just the rookies had a go this time
i don't think that it is going to live Martin... it is a great skill to learn though....petersmile
Martin from Stone: Her name is Anatomical Annie she takes a pounding and comes back for more
The more people who knows how to do this the better. I once did a St John Ambulance 1st aid course and was firmly of the opinion that whoever needed first aid would be luckier if I was not there
Martin from Stone: When the chips are down I'm sure you would have a go, anything is better than nothing
I'm so glad you have gotten this training - so important! And I see in your comments that you also have a defibrillator! Excellent! In our clinic we have to train for adult, youth and infants every other year - last year my colleague, Collin, killed the baby smile
Martin from Stone: Over enthusiasm has its drawbacks.
