And I see your butler is in the corner awaiting your command...
Quite a stately place inside as well!
Martin from Stone: The wheeled galleons were quite a feature, i'm not sure of their role
I thought you had redecorated for a moment there Martin....smile Quite a place...
Martin from Stone: No sign of anaglypta wall paper and magnolia paint our stock in trade !

I like the bewigged inhabitant over there
Martin from Stone: I was not convinced of his attentiveness.

Looks very grand. Was the food as good as the setting? I hope they warmed the plates; I don't like hot food on cold plates.
Martin from Stone: It was a fair way to the kitchen so I'm sure the plates would be cold enough to congeal the gravy.
I actually like the "lightness" of the room, Martin. It feels cheery.
Martin from Stone: It was quite light, lucky for me as the use of flash was prohibited

quite a bright place, Martin. i have seen some castles which are terribly dark - made taking photos a huge challenge.

Martin from Stone: Poor little chap - damp and forgotten.
The Aristos. have been know to dip their crusts in rather rich gravy.
By the way the Scots don't see themselves as English
I saw this in Barry Lyndon. smile
Martin from Stone: Well I never !
Gold and silver galore.
Martin from Stone: Opulence
I wonder if the place cards have actual guests' names written on them. It must have been very inviting to eat a meal with the fire lit.
For small dinner gatherings. Very impressive!
